I last wrote a blog post five years ago, recapitulating on an eventful and adventitious encounter with some of the most friendly people I have ever met, in Lumajang, Indonesia. A fair amount has happened since then, mainly, I got a few degrees and decided brains were really interested. But in the wider context: America got a black president, Facebook took over the world, there was a massive tsunami, lots of people died in lots of warring, China took over the world and everyone got a little more connected.
Rather than selfishly contain all my thoughts to myself, why not beam these over the ever expansive internets for you all to consume? You'll expect to see here musings and sometimes more on:
1. Science - There is a lot of crazy cool stuff happening in research if only you knew.
2. Technology - I have taken it upon myself to defend the name of technology from its hijacking by 'social-media' companies. I will mine the internet for truly innovative technology startup companies just for you.
